Gay Health Charity Reaches Out To Brad Pitt For Help

Brad Pitt is one of Hollywood’s leading figures supporting gay rights and has often spoken about equal marriage in America. Organizers of a gay health race in Glasgow, Scotland have sent Pitt a letter inviting him to attend the event.

Currently filming World War Z, Brad Pitt is scheduled to shoot scenes in Glasgow this August at the same time as the race, which could allow him to make a quick guest appearance. With the world’s press following Pitt’s every move, his star power brings attention to everything that he does.

While it may be difficult for Pitt to find the time to go to a race during a shoot, if he does accept the invitation, it will go a long way to boost the gay rights movement here in Europe and raise awareness for the charity. The 5-kilometer race will take place on the 19th August in Kelvingrove Park. Community development manger Tom Lusk of GMH has also suggested that Pitt could take part in the race himself, if he was up to it.

Brad Pitt recently praised the Marriage Equality act that was passed in New York telling People magazine :

"No state should decide who can marry and who cannot. Thanks to the tireless work of so many, someday soon this discrimination will end and every American will be able to enjoy their equal right to marriage."
