Black Friday in the UK wasn't as loud as anticipated

The UK’s version of Black Friday seems to have been a lacklustre one with many shoppers heading online instead of the highstreet to get their hands on bargain discounts.

With discount deals available on a wide range of gadgets and even online media courses, filmmakers and photographers have just a few more hours to get their hands on pre-Christmas bargains.

The BBC reports that queues outside of UK retailers like Dixons were subdued and many customers had sought to buy their items online during the week. With over 7 days of discounts leading up to tonight’s shopping ‘finale’ many opted to get their goods ahead of the crunch deadline where most of the stock would have been gone.

It is estimated that over £1 billion will have been spent at the end of Friday in the UK, becoming the largest day for sales in UK retail history. Whether that number stacks up for retailers in the streets is yet to be assessed.

Filmmakers can check out the most popular list of online courses with up to 80% off. If you want to order before today’s discounts expire you can buy up to 6 courses for the price of one ranging from celebritiy branding advice through to photography and film masterclasses.
