Best Music Video at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards

Hollywood Music in Media Awards

Hello Film Industry Network readers! It’s Ceej with some new and exciting news on some wins at the latest awards ceremonies of the music industry. For those of you who tuned in to the CMA’s this year, Taylor Swift, (whom I love), humbly won country music’s top honor of “Entertainer of the Year.” Couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton won matching awards as Female and Male Vocalist of the Year. The musical act who racked up the most awards of the night was The Band Perry winning Single of the Year for their song “If I Die Young,” song of the year, and best new artist. I would like to take a moment to congratulate these talented and passionate acts. Drum roll please!

Now, I have some exciting news about a recent event! On Thursday night, I went down to Hollywood & Highland to attend the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this event, it honors all music found in any type of media including movie scores, commercials, television shows, and more. It is like other music events but on a smaller and someone indie scale. I was nominated for best music video, a new category, up against twelve other acts.

This was such an honor! Towards the end of the night, they got around to my category, and I was beaming inside at the sound of my first nomination. I figured not many people knew me yet, but it was an honor to be there. Until suddenly, I hear my name read with the words “and the winner is…” preceding. I was beyond shocked—my thank you speech being somewhat gracefully awkward as I thanked my management, the HMMAs, my parents, and supporters.

I've got a lot of exciting stuff in the works! I am so blessed to have won my first nomination for a legitimate Hollywood event. Keep up with my music at the links below and check out the picture of an interview right after my win!
