From 'Dr No' to 'Skyfall'

In 1962 Sean Connery started a movie revolution. Bond was born, but 50 years later, fans couldn't have foreseen a 23rd Bond movie (Skyfall) becoming such a huge success.

Daniel Craig is back and bold in this gripping thriller that has been praised by critics all round. Directed by Sam Mendes, the class of James Bond returns, and it's surely fired up the box office around the world.

It's foreign box office total has smashed the $75 million barrier and demolished UK records in several categories. On Saturday alone, 'Skyfall' broke a U.K attendance record and became the 2nd best opening in history after the final outing of Harry Potter.

Skyfall has been hugely anticipated ahead of its U.S release on Nov 9th, and it could become one of the year's biggest movies. This comes after a hugely successful 'pre-spin' at the London 2012 Olympics that put Bond on the front page of international media. It was a brilliant marketing gimmick, and today we can see just how much the fans have embraced the new movie.
