It would appear that the fortunes of '47 Ronin' may be taking a dramatic turn from failure in Japan to triumph in South-east Asia.
According to a new box office report, Keanu Reeves succeeded in drawing audiences to cinema screens to watch '47 Ronin'. Released on the 19th December in Malasyia and Singapore '47 Ronin' outpaced rival films including 'The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug', 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' and 'Walking With Dinosaurs The movie 3D'.
'47 Ronin' has been deemed a flop on arrival. In fact, some industry pundits have suggested that Universal are already forecasting the loss, and making arrangements to deal with it.
