“Creed” has become a critical acclaim and could even get an Oscar nomination in the Best Picture and Best Director category. Sylvester Stallone is also rumored to be in the race for a Best Supporting Actor nod.

While there is no final deal yet with Coogler, Chadwick Boseman, who makes his first appearance in “Captain America: Civil War,” will play Black Panther.

Ryan Coogler’s success at the Sundance Film Festival and directorial vision with “Creed” has made him one of the top young directors in Hollywood with a strong chance of success during the upcoming awards season.
