The young director and former USC student has made international headlines following the success of “Creed” which he also co-wrote. Coogler is now reportedly in talks with Marvel to direct one of their biggest titles coming out in 2017. Rarely have we seen a young director get the chance to go to the top of the industry within such a short space of time, but his talent is very impressive.

“Creed” has become a critical acclaim and could even get an Oscar nomination in the Best Picture and Best Director category. Sylvester Stallone is also rumored to be in the race for a Best Supporting Actor nod.

While there is no final deal yet with Coogler, Chadwick Boseman, who makes his first appearance in “Captain America: Civil War,” will play Black Panther.

Ryan Coogler’s success at the Sundance Film Festival and directorial vision with “Creed” has made him one of the top young directors in Hollywood with a strong chance of success during the upcoming awards season.
